Jeremy discussing outdoor project priorities with homeowners in their backyard.

Stage 01 / Consultation

A better plan begins with the right questions.

You do not need a finished wish list to start. Our first conversation helps connect what you want from your outdoor space with the design and planning work that can help you get there.

Why this stage matters

Understand the goal before choosing the features.

A pool, patio or outdoor kitchen can mean different things to different households. You may want quiet evenings, room for family gatherings, easier movement through the yard or a project you can build in phases. Understanding those priorities gives later decisions a purpose.

The consultation also helps separate two questions: what you want to build, and what help you need to plan it. Your LANDOVA service estimate describes our proposed work. The construction cost estimate comes later, after the project has a defined design and scope.

From idea to decision

How we begin

Talk about everyday life

We discuss who uses the space, what feels missing and what you hope will change. Share the activities and frustrations behind your ideas, along with features you already know you want.

Put the ideas in context

We talk through the property, priorities, budget expectations and timing. Inspiration images can help explain your taste, while a virtual conversation or in-home visit helps us understand the setting.

Review the proposed services

We explain the planning stages and provide a proposed scope and service estimate for LANDOVA’s work. You can ask what is included and decide whether Site & Scope is the right next step.
